Usui Shiki Ryoho

is a specific form of Reiki practice described by Four Aspects and Nine Elements. Initiations given by masters in the First Degree Class connect the new student to the energy of Reiki for a lifetime. The student practice includes self-treatment, treatment received from other Reiki students and treatment of others. This system honors the Spiritual Lineage of Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi, Hawayo Takata, Phyllis Lei Furumoto and Johannes Reindl.

Usui Shiki Ryoho has been passed down through this particular lineage. Developing gradually through the influences of the changing world, the passion of each Lineage Bearer, and the guidance of Reiki, the value of a long term practice becomes evident.

Reiki

Is the name Mikao Usui used to describe the energy that he had contacted through years of self-preparation and dedication. The following description of Reiki is taken from Hawayo Takata’s journal when she was a beginning student of Chujiro Hayashi, circa 1935.

“The power is unfathomable, immeasurable, and being a universal life force, it is incomprehensible to man.” Hawayo Takata translated Reiki in her classes as “Universal Life Energy” or God Power”.

The Office of the Grandmaster

The Office of the Grandmaster was founded in 1993 after Phyllis Lei Furumoto, the recognized Grandmaster, and Paul David Mitchell, recognized as Head of the Discipline, formed a partnership to maintain the strength of the system brought to them by Hawayo Takata.
