Links to masters initiated by Hawayo Takata

  • John Gray was among the first masters Hawayo Takata initiated. John and Lourdes Gray have founded  their own lineage and community of Reiki Students based on the teachings of Hawayo Takata.
  • Fran Brown taught until her passing on Easter Sunday, 2009.  Her commitment to the teachings of Hawayo Takata are reflected in her web site.
  • Rick Bockner, a master from Canada, is also a performing musician.  His offering to our community is one of a story teller, both with song and through speaking engagements. His stories are of his journey with Reiki, his journey as a human being, and his concern for our environment.
  • Wanja Twan, a master from Canada, is a writer, mother, and community member. Her books of her life with Reiki and her memories of Hawayo Takata are available from this site.

  • Reiki Australia published a DVD with Phyllis Furumoto telling her story of Reiki and then the history of  the lineage bearers. This is available from them. Please check to see if there is a regional code on the DVD.
  • This student association is based in the UK and publishes CDs and DVDS of conferences with Paul  Mitchell and Phyllis Furumoto as well as other material. 
  • This student gathering in the mountains of Oregon has published a good DVD of five masters initiated by Hawayo Takata speaking about their practice and their answers to questions from the gathering  participants. Check for the regional code on the DVD. The CD of "Egregora" a music CD by three Reiki Masters from the Alliance community is also available from this site.  (Look under marketplace for the link to order this CD)

  • The Reiki Alliance - This is a member organization for masters who are committed to the teaching and practice of Usui Shiki  Ryoho. Membership is through application. A new site for the Alliance is under construction and will replace this site.
